Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Co.
The Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Company is designated to provide fire and emergency services to Upper Yoder Township. The services we provider include rescue of individuals from immediately dangerous to life and health environments such as those individuals, fire suppression of house and commercial fires, vegetation/grass fires, vehicle fires, perform common passenger vehicle rescue, low angle rope rescue, search and rescue for lost individuals, remediation of hazardous materials, tree removal from public roadways, securing areas for wires on public roadways, emergency water removal from basements. Our organization has mutual aid agreements with other emergency agencies to aid in situations where our services will be overwhelmed of are not available.
Our primary fire suppression vehicle is Engine 27. A 2005 Sparton chassis with a Marion Body. The vehicle was purchased from New Jersey through Command Fire Apparatus. The vehicle is equipped with a 1500 GPM pump.
Our primary vehicle for vehicle rescue, low angle rope, vehicle fires, brush fires, and secondary response vehicle for structure fires is a 2004 E One fire engine on a Freightliner Chassis. Our Squad vehicle is used for traffic control, removal of trees from roadways, emergency water removal from residence and the transport of additional personnel
