The Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Company is a registered 501(c)(3) non profit organization. The organization is designated by the Upper Yoder Township Municipal officials to provide fire and various emergency services to the residents, businesses and travelers of Upper Yoder Township, Cambria County. In addition to providing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to those in Upper Yoder Township, Upper Yoder Fire Rescue, the EMS Division of Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Company, also provides primary EMS to Ferndale Borough. When requested, our organization provides mutual aid assistance to other municipalities.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Company is to minimize loss of life, property and the environment from fires, natural disasters, life threatening situations, and to assist other emergency services organizations..
Vision Statement
The Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Company and its members will represent the Company, and the community by demonstrating adherence to professional standards established by the industry.
Using technology, we will establish and adhere to safety standards which may affect us and the community. We will not become stagnant and be efficient through proficiently carrying out life safety tasks to minimize loss of life and property.
As a community based, public safety entity, we will participate in making our community better by working within our community to promote the well being and safety of others and give back to those we serve.
Risk Management Statement
While the Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Company is to aid in the mitigation of dangers to public safety. Officers and members of the organization will weigh the risk of performing a procedure or task versus the perceived risk to the overall success of the operation.
Our ultimate risk management priorities are : victim, bystander, partner, crew, self, and property.
